Oil Spill Support Group

Matrix has formed a new business unit which will focus on insurance claims management, vessel incidents, and spills.  The practice includes claims and spill response management, cost auditing, third party claims management, Shore Line Cleanup Assessment Teams (SCAT), NRDA, Native American issues, and habitat restoration.  Insurance claims managed include Protection & indemnity Clubs(P&I), syndicates, hull, general liability, pollution, and personal injury.  Matrix will serve a nation-wide client base with their team of insurance and technical experts.  Our technical staff is on call for immediate response to spill incidents day or night.  Our experience focuses on clean up/contractor oversight, contamination delineation, to include mold, site remediation, environmental monitoring, ephemeral sampling, and NRD assessment and negotiation

Our first assignment is a big one - we are pleased to announce that Don Wendt and Michael Dempsey have been assigned to the Mobile, Alabama Gulf Spill Response Command Center assisting in Federal and state agency coordination. More staff are on deck to assist in coastal damage assessment, third party claims, cost accounting
and litigation support in the coming days.
